The marketing manager for the famed local Austin institution Sweetish Hill contacted me to build a new website for the business. Their existing website was slow and clunky. No joke, in order to make any updates (including to their always updated weekly menu), they had to email some webmaster somewhere with a list of changes to make, and maybe some of it would get done. I knew we could do better.
We worked together to build a new, inexpensive website that they could update anytime with no programming skills needed. Their menus change weekly, so it was important that non-programmers could make changes anytime. We combed through thousands of pictures to produce galleries of their most delicious work. The project was turned in on time and on budget. In fact, they started saving money within a year by moving away from the terrible (and unjustifiably expensive) service they had been using. We had so much fun working together that now one of their cakes is has become a tradition for my family's birthday celebrations.
