The owner of a local Austin auto repair shop reached out to me to build a new website to help dominate local Google searches. His shop’s reputation and loyal local customer base wasn’t being reflected in his existing old website. His team were trained and specialized in German car repair but didn’t know a lot about local SEO web design. Which is a good thing because my team specializes in local SEO web design but doesn’t know anything about German car repair. The collaboration was off to a great start.
My team and I built a ground-up custom WordPress site so that new services and car brands could be added easily at any time. We made sure that critical local business information – such as business name, address, phone, location and new customer coupons – was located immediately at the top of the screen so customers didn’t have to scroll – even on mobile – to find and contact the shop.
To optimize the website for local SEO, we added specialized backend code – called Structured Data – to tell search engines like Google about critical local business information including location, business hours, customer reviews and contact information.
Customer reviews are becoming more and more crucial for all local businesses and for performing well in local business searches. We built a customer review management system within the website to add new reviews, display reviews and most importantly to dynamically calculate average customer reviews and display that information to search engines.
